Meet Our School Therapy Dog:
Gabi
We are proud to be a mainstream primary school with four dedicated classes for autistic children and one language class. As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion and emotional well-being, we are thrilled to have Gabi - provided through the incredible charity My Canine Companion – Autism and Therapy Service.
A Pawsitive Surprise!
Gabi joined our school family in May 2025—a huge surprise for all our boys and girls! Since then, Gabi has become a much-loved member of the school community.
Why Therapy Dogs?
The decision to bring a therapy dog into our school was made with careful consideration. We strongly believe that Gabi will have a ripple effect of positivity across all areas of school life.
The Training Journey
Training for Gabi and handlers , takes place over two years, including:
Regular puppy training classes
Networking and support with other schools in the programme
We are fully committed to the process and excited to see the long-term benefits unfold.
