Art     Circle Patterns

Try drawing these with your compass and pencil and colour them.

Maths  We have decided to take this weeks maths based on “The Circle” from a few other maths books as it is better and it also gives you the 2 formulae you need for finding the circumference of a circle and the area of a circle which you will be encountering in 1st Year.

Monday.  Do all this page (remember for no.6 the angles in a circle=360◦)

Tuesday.  Do the sums that are circled ( no.5 the L of  circle =L of diameter & the mat= L of 3  circles)

Wednesday.  Do all the sums (you can use your calculator) N0.2 If given circum. To find diameter: circum÷π=d   so  c÷3.14=d        NO.3 sums explained under the sum

Thursday.   Do all the sums (you can use your calculator) No’s 2,3 & 5 : you are given diameter so ÷ by 2 to get radius

Friday.  Do all the sums (you can use your calculator)
